One person faces arson and attempted murder charges following a house fire in Harvest on August 5.

The Limestone County Sheriff's Office says deputies, investigators, and the State Fire Marshal responded to an intentionally set house fire on the 27000 block of Keeton Road.

Authorities say when they arrived at the scene they learned Dominic Edward Germain, 30, of Madison, had set a fire inside the house with two victims inside. Officials say Germain left the scene before law enforcement arrived and that the two victims inside the home were able to escape the fire.

Germain was charged with first-degree arson and two counts of attempted murder. He's being held in the Limestone County Jail. His bond has not yet been set.
