After years of playing at Burningtree Country Club, Carter Goodwin has finally won the Daikin Spirit of America Golf Classic.
A star at North Alabama, Goodwin won by four strokes on Saturday, finishing at 15-under.
Hartselle High School alum Ryley Heath led at the end of the first round but Goodwin topped the leaderboard the rest of the way, taking a commanding lead after carding a 65 on Thursday.
At times, several golfers swung their way within a few strokes but no one could ever catch the Hoover native on his way to the title at the 58th Daikin Spirit of America.
