Alabama State Troopers say an Athens woman was killed in a two-vehicle wreck in Limestone County Thursday afternoon.

It happened just after 12:30 p.m. on Malone Road near Lucas Ferry Road, just five miles south of Athens.

Troopers say Isenalande Senat, 29, was critically injured when the 2012 Dodge Avenger she was a passenger in, was hit by a 2008 Dodge Ram. Senat was taken to Athens Hospital where she later died from her injuries. According to troopers, Senat was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.

Authorities say a five-year-old who was unrestrained in the Dodge Avenger, was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Avenger and another passenger were also injured and taken for treatment. Troopers say the driver wasn't using a seat belt at the time of the wreck.

State troopers say they're continuing to investigate the wreck.
