Fayetteville High School educator placed on administrative leave after online accusation

A Fayetteville City Schools staff member has been placed on administrative leave, according to the school system. 

The school system in Tennessee took to social media Monday to say they are aware of an accusation that was made online concerning an educator at Fayetteville High School and an investigation is underway.

Here is the full message from Fayetteville City Schools:

"Fayetteville City Schools is aware that an accusation has been made online concerning an educator at Fayetteville High School. We take such matters very seriously. The staff member in question has been placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the investigation. 

"Students, families and community members can be assured that the safety and well-being of our students is of paramount importance. Our Director of Schools and administrators are following the policies and procedures of the Fayetteville City School System to ensure we obtain a complete understanding of the situation and that any subsequent determinations will be made in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee."
