Steamy conditions return this week

Hot and humid Tuesday

Hot and much more humid conditions will be returning for the remainder of the week leading into the 4th of July holiday weekend. We'll keep rain away away for a couple more days before shower and storm chances return later this week.

Tonight looks mostly clear and comfortable. Temperatures will drop back to around 70.

Tuesday brings partly cloudy skies and increasing humidity. Temperatures will climb into the low 90s for highs.

The heat and humidity will be the story for midweek. Highs will be in the mid 90s Wednesday with only a slim chance for a shower. On the 4th expect more of the same with feels like temperatures in the low 100s. A few isolated showers and storms are possible, but the holiday won't be a washout.

The rest of the long holiday weekend will feature steamy afternoons in the 90s and muggy nights in the 70s. We'll also have a daily chance for a few mainly afternoon showers and storms.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies. Lows near 70. Winds: NE 5 mph.

TUESDAY: Partly cloudy, hot and humid. Highs in the low 90s. Wind: SE 6-12 mph.
