Flood Watch

Wednesday is a 31 Alert Day for the threat of flash flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect noon Wednesday through midnight Thursday night.

Scattered rain showers will return to North Alabama after midnight tonight and will remain hit and miss through Wednesday morning. Widespread rain and non-severe thunderstorms will begin midday Wednesday and will stick around all the way through at least Thursday morning.

Additional scattered showers may stick around Thursday afternoon through Friday. One final surge of heavier rain and non-severe storms is expected Friday night through Saturday.

The entire Tennessee Valley can expect a minimum of 2" of rain, but many of us have a good chance at 3-4". Pockets of 5-6" will be possible and pose the biggest threat for flash flooding.

Highs are forecast to be in the low to mid 60s Wednesday through Saturday. Early next week will be slightly cooler with highs in the upper 40s and 50s. All of next week looks quiet - something we haven't been able to say in quite some time!

TONIGHT: Showers mainly late. Chance of rain: 50%. Lows in the low 50s. Wind: SE 10-15 MPH.

WEDNESDAY: Showers and storms. Chance of rain: 100%. Highs in the low 60s. Wind: SE 10-15 MPH.
