Hot and humid weekend ahead

A few scattered weekend storms

A few Sunday storms

Heat, humidity and a few showers and storms are the main headlines for the weekend. The days won't be washouts, but any storms that pass by could dump some heavy rain and produce some gusty wind.

For tonight we'll be partly cloudy, warm and muggy, but otherwise quiet. Temperatures will fall back into the mid 70s.

Saturday brings a mix of clouds and sunshine with a few scattered showers and storms. Temperatures will reach the mid 90s for highs but it will feel more like 100-105 with the humidity. Sunday brings pretty much more of the same.

A weak cold front will drop into the area for early next week bringing a temporary break in the steamy conditions, but only a slight drop in the temperatures. We'll still expect to see low to mid 90s for highs early in the week.

By midweek temperatures will edge back into the upper 90s with a corresponding increase in the humidity. A few showers and storms will be back heading into the 4th of July holiday weekend, but it's not looking like a rainout at this time.

Have a great weekend!
