HEMSI: One person dead, one injured in Friday morning wreck on Highway 53

Huntsville Police closed a section of Highway 53 from Research Park to Nick Fitcheard Friday morning due to a deadly wreck. 

Investigators say it happened before 6 a.m.

Don Webster with HEMSI confirmed one person died in the crash and one person was taken to Huntsville Hospital. Right now there is no word on that person's condition. 

Webster also confirmed the wreck involved a motorcycle.
