* WHAT...Heat index values up to 109 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and northwest
Alabama and southern middle Tennessee.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Marshall Co. Coroner: 1 killed following police chase

Authorities say a person was killed following a police chase involving Albertville Police on Friday. According to the Marshall County Coroner's Office, Huntsville Hospital Trauma Center notified them that Macey Justice, 24, of Boaz was pronounced dead after being airlifted for treatment following a single-vehicle wreck during the pursuit.

The coroner's office says the Albertville Police Department turned the investigation over to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The Marshall County Coroner's Office says they're assisting in the investigation.
