The cold front moving through will give us better rain chances this afternoon

Daily rain chances and 'cooler' afternoon temperatures are ahead for the rest of the week, the weekend and throughout next week. Rain amounts over the next 7 days could add up between 2-4" bringing relief from the current drought conditions.

Dry across the area for now but more rain will be expected this afternoon. We will say see ya later to the 90s for a while with highs this afternoon in the upper 80s. The bad news is we will keep the humidity around.

Rain chances will be a little higher on Friday, and expect showers and storms to increase again over the weekend. More clouds and occasional rain will hold temperatures below average for this time of year in the mid to upper 80s.

Next week brings more of the same with some scattered showers and storms around each day. Afternoon temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 80s with muggy nights in the low 70s expected.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy with showers and storms around. Highs in the upper 80s. Wind: NW 5--10 mph.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. A few showers. Lows in the low 70s. Winds: Light NE.
