Light rain returns Friday

Rain is back as we wrap up the week, but any wet weather should taper off early into the weekend. More unsettled conditions are likely for part of next week.

Skies will remain clear into tonight. We'll be chilly but not too cold with overnight lows in the 40s.

Thursday starts off sunny, but look for clouds in the afternoon. Temperatures will be mild again with afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Friday starts off cloudy with rain pushing in by midday. We'll stay damp through the afternoon and into the evening. Rain will mostly be on the light side and no severe weather is expected. Temperatures will be cooler with the clouds and wet weather with highs dipping back into the low 60s.

A few showers are possible early Saturday, but expect a drying trend for the remainder of the weekend. Highs Saturday will remain in the low 60s, but look for temperatures back closer to 70 with sunshine returning on Sunday.

Rain chances pick up again by Tuesday of next week with off and on wet weather possible through Thursday. Temperatures will mostly run in the 60s for highs.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid-40s. Wind: NE 5-10 mph.

THURSDAY: Increasing clouds. Highs in the low-70s. Wind: E 4-8 mph.
