Chilly and breezy Monday despite plenty of sunshine

Despite plenty of sunshine, high temperatures only reach the upper 40s. Northerly wind gusts up to 20 MPH keep wind chills in the low 40s.

Cold nights and chilly afternoons continue through Wednesday. Overnight lows fall into the 20s while afternoon highs bounce back into the 50s. Seasonable temperatures eventually return late this week.

In addition to warmer temperatures, a wet weather pattern is expected to develop later this week. Rain chances go up starting Friday. Several waves of widespread rain are expected Friday through Sunday. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible this weekend.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny, chilly. Highs in the upper 40s. Wind: NW 5-10 MPH, gusts up to 20 MPH.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear, cold. Lows in the mid-20s. Wind: NW 5-10 MPH.
