A man suspected of stealing replicas of wild animals is now in the sights of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

Security cameras caught the suspect during two thefts at Elk River Carving Company on Pulaski Highway in Fayetteville. The first was Jan. 2, and the second occurred Tuesday morning.

In January, investigators says the man took a 4-foot carved eagle from outside the business. Cameras captured him dragging the eagle to a white four-door Dodge Ram.

Three items were taken, the sheriff’s department said, when the suspect returned Tuesday: another eagle, a climbing bear and a standing bear.

Security video shows a male subject driving a white four door Dodge Ram back up to the front porch and take the wood carvings and loading one of the carvings into the cab of the truck and the other two into the bed of the Dodge truck.

Anyone with information on these thefts is asked to contact Lincoln County Sheriffs Department Investigator Patrick Murdock at 931-433-9821.
