UPDATE: Inmate who escaped over razor wire fence recaptured

UPDATE: Authorities say David Alan Wright is back in custody after escaping by climbing over a razor wire fence. The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office said Wright had to be treated for lacerations to his arms that he got during his escape. He'll be returned back to the Lawrence County Jail.

FROM EARLIER:

A search is underway for an inmate the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office said escaped over a razor wire fence.

David Alan Wright was in jail for kidnapping and giving false information to law enforcement. 

According to the sheriff's office, Wright escaped around 1:30 Saturday afternoon and that his absence wasn't noted until 4:30 p.m.

The victim in Wright's case has been notified.

Wright is 5'7" and 145 pounds, bald with short brown hair.
